Welcome TO Petoskey RObotics!
WHat is Petoskey Robotics?
Petoskey Robotics is an organization founded in 2010 dedicated to promoting STEM in Petoskey and Northern Michigan. Our High School team is FIRST Robotics Challenge Team, #3618 The Petoskey Paladins. Our two Petoskey Middle School teams compete in FIRST Tech Challenge and are Geeks, Gears and Gadgets #5411 (Green) and #8621 (Blue). Nine elementary school teams operate with students from four public elementary schools (FLL Explore: 28741, 28742, 29680; FLL Challenge: 9348, 9669, 62744). These teams make up the Lakeside Legends of the Lego League. Petoskey Robotics is proud to promote STEM to local students in K-12th grades and our community.
What we are up to:
-
Thanks to a Partnership between the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup, Petoskey Robotics, along with funding and support from North American energy company TC Energy--an initiative of the Council of the Great Lakes Region and Pollution Probe with support from a network of funders and collaborators, uses innovative plastic capture technology to quickly capture and remove plastics and other litter from Lake Ontario to Lake Superior and everywhere in between and is one of the largest initiatives of its kind in the world. Through research, outreach, and education, the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup is gathering data on litter entering our waterways and identifying how government, industry, and consumers can work together to reduce, reuse, and recycle material waste.
-
Visit us this summer at the Petoskey Farmer's Markets on Howard Street On Friday, July 12th and Friday, August 9th to catch Petoskey Paladins in action!
